Love this. I took a colleague shopping earlier this year. Married and a mother at 19, now 45 and she was completely lost. She told me afterwards she had the best day because she’d never really spent time on putting herself first and hated shopping because she never knew what to look for. She said it was the first time she had enjoyed doing it.
And, fundamentally, the joy of dressing for yourself and loving what you’re wearing is a form of self care. If you smile at yourself and do a twirl when you catch yourself in a mirror, your day will be much more enjoyable ☺️
I am always receiving compliments on my style of dress, which I am very happy to acknowledge with a smile and a "thanks, that's so kind of you." I would say, that as a 75 year old, I am confident in my choice of clothes, but truthfully, I have always been this way. I'm not bothered if I am the only one wearing a dress.
