I think the lovely Jo Elvin used to edit New Woman - a very funny and sadly defunct women's magazine that didn't take itself too seriously. I love the idea of a clothing feature. Women over 40 live in terror of The Mutton and need advice from a stylish lady.
Love it! I also love clothes but I'm rubbish at thinking of what to put together so end up in jeans and sweaters way too often. This was inspiring and I think I now need a red blazer!
I’ve had a red boxer in my wardrobe for maybe 3 years now and never yet worn it out of the house because it always ends up looking either a bit butlins or a bit tally-hi. I’ve been inspired to give it another go
Absolutely love this feature 🥰 what a great way to inject a bit of inspiration into our wardrobes too. I have a new (to me, from Vinted) purple check blazer that I need to do exactly this with!
Great, thanks Jo! I'm also wearing tons more colour now I'm older (I only have about two black items in my entire wardrobe) so the colour combo ideas are really useful
Brilliant and helpful. I have a wardrobe full of clothes but lack the skill to style them and put outfits together. Things like this really help. Thank you
Now I have to go buy a red blazer. These are terrible hardships, but someone has to do it. Must say, I love clothes too. Not too much, because there is no such thing as too much. But then, you already knew that!
Jo! I’m the idiot who was convinced that I’d seen you in a London restaurant a few years back and confidently said (to what we now know to be your lookie-likie) ‘hey Jo, what did your husband think of your outfit today?’ The lovely lady who clearly was not you (‘my name’s not Jo’ in a west London accent 🤦♀️) forgave me more easily than my family... who, to this day, remain mortified! So this post resonates!!! Love it 😊
Share every sentiment about wear what you want etc. AND love the colour of le red blazer but - don't shout at me - I do wonder if the dominant colour results in every outfit kinda looking the same so you're always just wearing a red blazer - sooo is it really that versatile, Jo, is it? 😬🔴

Love love love! I'm all for the print clash and the Frenching it up 😍😍

OK, now we really need to see the whole wardrobe. This is epic Jo! Denim special next? Want to see your version of a Canadian tuxedo xx

Just spat out my tea at McDonald's chic... love all these and I love clothes, too. So much shame around that at the moment though x
Honestly .. the Macdonald’s outfit .. what is it about primary colors that make us look .. unpredictable?
Great title xo
