Merry Twixtmas, everyone!
I hope you’ve had a lovely Christmas. And I also hope you’re continuing to have a nice break. If you’re working, I hope it’s going OK but I know how that feels when everyone else is enjoying forgetting the names of the weekdays and their kids. This is the first time in years that I haven’t had to work between Christmas and New Year’s. It doesn’t suck.
But I am popping on here to let you know that whatever you’re doing, you could choose to do it whilst listening to my brand new podcast!
It’s called Fame and is, funnily enough, interesting conversations with people about their relationship with celebrity. Fame can give you a very lovely life. It can give you a shit one too. It can change you as a person - and in fact, research has been done that shows fame can alter brain chemistry. It can change everyone else around you.
I’ve always found it a fascinating subject and I can’t be the only one. As one of my guests says on the show, like it or not fame is the world’s most valued currency.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be talking all this through with a range of different people - very famous, previously famous, as well as those who reached for the stars and it didn’t quite go to plan. The line-up is varied and I think each guest brings something really different to the conversation.
Anyway, just wanted to let you, my fantastic subscribers, know about it because I know I’ve been saying it’s in the works. And finally it’s here. It’s taken a while to make it happen and I've worked hard on it, so I hope you won’t mind me saying I am quite proud of it.
If you do happen to like it, I would be enormously grateful if you’d like and subscribe, as it will help more people discover it, which in turn will help me to be able to make more episodes.
On that note, a huge thank you to Mane UK for keeping the lights on by being Fame’s sponsor. It’s a great British brand delivering extraordinary results with hair thickening technology, for men and women. Check them out.
Here’s the first episode of Fame, with my first guest, the one and only Jameela Jamil.
Introducing my new podcast, Fame
I listened to the first one with Jameela Jamil and I loved it. It was so interesting hearing about the dark side of fame and how it impacts people.
I have listened to your podcasts for years and I am so excited for your new one. I have dearly missed hearing you (and James Williams) every week.
