Wow - I have occasionally text random people back who send me spam, but would never think to arrange a call! Haha! Does kinda me wonder who would agree to pay people to grow their follower list.

I’ve always wondered about this too!! Like you’ve said Jo, even though you 99.9999% know it’s a scam… there’s that 0.000001% that kinda wants to know more. So interesting, such a good topic / read (and I kinda want to see the office kitchen 😂). Thanks! x

Haha this was so interesting and funny! I’ve often been tempted to string along on one of these scam calls just to see if I can outwit the scammer, make them think twice about their job choice (naive of me I realise), or just waste their time, but I’ve not had the guts as yet. What a dodgy world!

So weird! Really enjoyed reading this though and agree re followers. What do all these followers do to help you anyway?! Seems a lot Emperor’s new clothes to me. Well dodged! X

Absolutely loved reading this, Jo. So uncomfortably funny! Not sure if that was the intention but I appreciated every little detail

I thought if you have more followers you have the potential for better deals, but I am quite foggy on how influencers make money

Yes exactly, but brands will wise up pretty quickly if your numbers aren't being matched by engagement/sales etc
