When I was about 13 years old, in 1966, I really, desperately, wanted a pair of white boots. You know the ones (you probably weren't born then) which came up to mid calf. I live in New Zealand. My mother was very controlling. She dressed me in brown lace-up shoes, knee-length brown socks, pleated skirts. Because YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUNG GIRLS LOOK ATTRACTIVE! sadly I never got those white boots (Mum thought they looked 'cheap and nasty' but I still love white shoes. When do mothers learn if you ban teenage daughters from certain fashions, they become lifelong cravings?

Ha, well I’m completely indifferent re car colours but I adore white shoes AND pants - or trousers as I have been trained to say in the UK. xx

I’m a tropical, caribbean, Venezuelan🇻🇪 Latina, you would think I would love them… naturally. But cannot abide them. Or men that wear them😄😆

I learn something new every day. In spite of being trained by Sister Agnes Marie osu to read and write in the King's English, after she left (I thought trousers referred to men’s 👖) I belatedly realized I’ve been corrupted by the gringos🫢xx

Love the shoe recommendations! Sadly the Charles and Keith ones have sold out. I want them for a wedding in August
